For Josh's 32nd birthday, I decided to do a little surprise day trip for him. we have been wanting to tour a winery for years but for some reason, it just hasn't been in the cards for us. Kemah was hosting the first annual Wine Fest this weekend, so we got tickets and hit the road. It was a nice sweltering day in Kemah, spent without the children, and with tons of adults. It always amazes me how much I love and anticipate dates alone with my husband and yet most of the time on that date is spent thinking about what the kids would like to do.
Case in point, today. Carnival rides, train rides, candy and toy stores...all the while saying, "Wouldn't Caleb love that." or "Oh look, Jansen would totally want that!" Love, love, love my boys!!!
