Richwood Cook off

My husband's cookoff team participated in our town's annual cookoff. At the last minute, they asked if I would be willing to bake a couple of cobblers for the competition.

They turned in brisket, sausage, beans, chicken, and cobbler. I loved it all. I thought it was very delicious. There were 34 teams, but unfortunately, their team didn't place.

I actually got 6th place cobbler. Not bad for a last minute put together thing. Peach cream cheese cobbler for the win!

It was a fun weekend to spend with our friends.

St. Patrick's Day breakfast

We are having some work done on the house and everything is torn upside down...plus I had to be at work in the morning.

St. Patrick's Day breakfast was done on the fly because honestly, I forgot. So here is what we did.

We have a teenager

Our oldest son is now a teenager. I just cannot believe that he is already 13.

We celebrated as a family a couple of weeks early because we were all off...the boys were on Spring Break and Josh and I were off work. Caleb chose to go to iFly...a very anti-gravity birthday!

I decided to try the indoor skydiving with him and we had a blast! It was so fun and really neat that we could to things together.

When we got home, I made him an anti-gravity chocolate cake with his favorite candies. He loved it and it was so easy.

Two weeks later on his actual birthday, and the weekend of Easter and the Richwood Cookoff that my husband was participating in, we had a little celebration there.

I made him a Sprite and M&M "cake" that morning.

Then, Josh and I got him an iphone and he was thrilled! Let's hope he can take care of it.

His Powell grandparents took him out for lunch and for some Pokemon card boxes and his Foster grandparents gave him a money pizza. He had a super busy birthday.

Valentine's Day

Now that nursing school is winding down, I'm able to start catching up on some of the things we have done this semester.

Valentine's Day was two months ago, and while my husband and I don't really celebrate it, we love to celebrate it with our kids, as long as they will let us do it.

Breakfast was cute and fun and the kids really enjoyed it. Mission accomplished.

My friends and I also had a little get together to celebrate Galentine's Day

1963 Shasta Compact painted cabinets and decor

I cannot wait until this summer when I finally have some time to try this little camper out. With me still being in nursing school, I can only work on Lucy in very short spurts every once in a while.

While the bathroom still needs updating, I think things in the main part of the camper are about 95% complete.

The cabinet doors got a new coat of Exotic Blue paint and the hardware got a quick spray of metallic silver. It made such a huge difference to have a bit of contrast.

I finished things out with the new pillows, lighting, and cute name banner hanging over the table.

The mini refrigerator is on order and is portable. It's just large enough to hold about a 6 pack of drinks and a package of deli meat and cheese. It's on backorder from Pottery Barn Teen, so while I would love to have it right this very minute, I have the time to wait. How adorable is that aqua pool blue color?!

Eventually I will replace the toilet in the bathroom, add some tap lighting, and hang a clear shower curtain to separate the shower stall and toilet.

Now, do I add faux tin tiles to the ceiling or not. That is the question.
